So, we officially and gratefully say goodbye, sayonara and adios to 2020 - The Year of the Pandemic.

While the future outcome and impact is yet to be fully known, we encourage you to find the blessings in each day, person, and moment.  In its own odd way, the pandemic has brought us much closer to the practice of living in the present moment, something that may have been a challenge to do just a year ago, but a place we all aspire to be more often. Thanks for the practice, 2020!

We are grateful to be providing our continued services to you, in every way we are able, whether it is with chiropractic adjustments, massages and/or thermography screening.  Your health is most important to us and we appreciate you choosing us to be a partner in your health-related goals.

On the horizon, we will be adding these services to our existing services:  acupuncture and animal chiropractic.  Watch for updates and progress on these two options by tuning in to our website as well as keeping an eye out for our next newsletter to come forth in April with more details.  Spring, in essence, is new beginnings, and we can’t wait to share these with you.
Our Wellness Plans have a new look and are usable across all family members for these services: New patient visits, chiropractic adjustments, massages, acupuncture and animal chiropractic.  They offer valuable savings for you and if you are interested please inquire at the front desk to find out more! Also note that FSA and HSA accounts can be utilized for Wellness Plans.
Our Thermography appointments for 2021 are January 12th, April 13th, July 13th and October 12th.

We are planning another Thermography Presentation for the community to occur prior to our April appointment date.  It is an informative and empowering event we can’t wait to share with you again.  Until then, here are some Thermography Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Is Thermography an approved procedure?
A: Yes, thermography has been cleared by the FDA since 1982.
Q: Is Thermography safe?
A: Yes, thermography uses no radiation, compression or contact with the body to achieve its images.
Q: Who takes the images?
A: Images are taken by a Certified Clinical Thermographer who is trained by the American College of Clinical Thermology. The American College of Clinical Thermology is an accredited medical association.
Q: Who reads the images?
A: The images are sent via secured server to Electronic Medical Interpretation which is a professional group of physicians/MD’s who are specifically trained in the protocols of reading digital thermal images. They are all board certified as thermologists by the American College of Clinical Thermology. These doctors have many years’ experience and are able to ask for second opinions whenever necessary.
Q: What is the difference between thermography and mammography?
A: Thermography is a test of function and physiology while a mammogram is a test of structure. One does not replace the other, they are complementary.
Q: Is Thermal Imaging a replacement for Mammograms?
A: No, the two complement each other. Thermal imaging can detect the potential presence of a tumor years before a mammogram can see it.
Q: How often will I need a breast scan?
A: It is recommended to have two breast scans within three months of one another to establish a baseline. Thereafter, once annually is usually sufficient. Young women may begin breast screening with thermography at the age of 25-28 to establish their healthy, stable baseline.

Wishing you a most healthy and happy New Year, one we welcome with open arms ~

HEALTH = WEALTH
An incredible year has unfolded before our eyes, challenging us in so many ways: emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually.  We hope you are managing well and taking good care of yourself.
We wish to reinforce the idea of self-care and its importance during these unheard of times.  More specifically in this newsletter, we want to focus on your mental health and how we can help. Symptoms of anxiety and depression can set in because of happenings in our home, community, and workplace.  Input from TV news, internet and social media are more impactful than ever, as well.  Along with managing what you “feed” your mind, here are some examples of common physical impacts anxiety and depression can have:
  • High blood pressure
  • Fatigue or inability to sleep
  • Muscle tension and stiffness
  • Headaches or migraines
  • Aches and pains throughout the body
  • Inability to relax

The good news is that chiropractic adjustments and massage therapy can help by:
  • Reducing blood pressure
  • Promoting an all-natural solution without side effects
  • Triggering positive hormones
  • Helping you get to sleep easier
  • Relieving tension and headaches
  • Encouraging relaxation

If you are experiencing any of the above, let us know – we will work with you toward a resolution and appreciate being a partner with your health goals.

SUPPLEMENTS TO SUPPORT YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

Any time cold or flu season comes along, it is good to have these supplements on hand which can help relieve symptoms and potentially reduce the duration of your time not feeling well.   We want to share this great link of Dr. Robert Silverman’s recommendations – we love this guy!
Listen to his informative video here to find out the supplements he recommends and why, and why sugar is so detrimental to your immune system:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxuG7JkuWUI

We also have our Cold Packs (Immune Booster Pack) here at the office that contains high dosages of Vitamins, A, E & C – also necessary supplements to have in your medicine cabinet.

THERMOGRAPHY

So, what is Thermography (Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging = DITI) and why is it important?
Medical DITI is a non-invasive, safe, screening tool that pictures and analyzes changes in the skin's surface temperature without the use of radiation. While X-rays, ultrasound, and mammography show us the structure of the body, they will miss such things as active inflammation and increased blood supply as found in many illnesses. DITI is a unique technology that takes a picture and creates a map of the infrared patterns of the body. It is different from other screening tools because it helps you to see how your body functions.

Thousands of people in the United States have taken advantage of Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging. DITI detects heat to measure the physiological activity in your body. This clinical test is supported by 30 years of research and over 8000 published medical studies. This procedure takes less than 20 minutes, requires no physical contact, is 100% safe with no radiation and is FDA cleared.

Jan’s Thermography Presentation we hosted earlier this year explained wonderfully the benefits of Thermography and why it is a great health tool /option to have access to.  We hope to schedule another presentation for our community early 2021. The “special ops” infrared imaging captures inflammation in the body much earlier than other alternatives that are out there.  This alone makes Thermography a great first choice for breast screening, but is also helpful with dental concerns, stomach issues and more.  Jan shared her own personal testimony about her experience with Thermography, which was inspiring.

Jan visits us quarterly and our next in-house Thermography session is October 20th, 2020.  Jan will be here from 9 am to 6 pm. Call 715.483.9991 to schedule your Thermography appointment.

Watch for more information to be shared on our Facebook page regarding Thermography.

A COUPLE GENTLE REMINDERS

We have therapists that provide massages Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  If you experience tight muscles, caused biomechanically or through the nervous system, this can affect the chiropractic adjustment.  Making corrective changes in the body can have a more profound effect when the body is in a parasympathetic, or relaxed, state so a massage prior to your adjustment may be recommended.

We value you and want to give you advanced notice that starting in January of 2021, there will be price changes in our services.  We are blessed with continued growth and want to ensure that we continue to offer the valued services you have come to expect from us.  We cannot wait to share with you the new services/offerings like acupuncture and animal chiropractic for your pets that are coming soon.  Our wellness packages are also getting a new look that will provide you with great discounts to take advantage of.

Take care, well wishes, always.
